Alex Hole, Managing Director
Alex has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for over 20 years, specialising in sustainable construction.
He has a degree in Estate Management and a Diploma in Non Domestic Energy Assessment.
He is also an accredited SAP & Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor, BREEAM In-Use Auditor and is registered with the Institute of Non Destructive Testing. Alex also heads up the daylighting and Right to Light division of MES.
He is often seen travelling the length of the country presenting popular & highly informative seminars on sustainable construction, building regulations compliance and daylighting issues.
In his spare time he enjoys sailing, mucking out the family donkeys and being entertained by his two young children!
Chris Jones, Technical Director
Chris has a Masters degree in Energy Efficient & Sustainable Building as well as an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He has over 10 years experience in providing sustainable building solutions and he carries out renewal energy evaluations, dynamic simulation modelling and daylight/solar gain modelling.
He is also responsible for Commercial Energy Assessment, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes compliance.
He is a keen mountain biker and often arrives in the office proudly showing off his latest injury. He also tries to keep up with his young sons Jiu-jitsu but hasn’t got the stamina he used to have!
Tom heads up our Residential Energy Assessment & Air Leakage Testing team. He is a fully accredited SAP Assessor and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor with a wealth of experience in residential developments of all scales from large 400+ dwellings to one-off self build projects.
He is also an Ecohomes Assessor, accredited to undertake Thermal Bridging calculations and is experienced in the PassivHaus energy performance standards. Tom provides our clients with a highly knowledgeable, cohesive compliance service that we believe is second to none.
Tom is pretty good with a radio controlled car too, in fact MES can boast a British Champion amongst it's team.
Dr Amir Bouzid
Amir has a PhD in Photovoltaic Integration in Buildings as well as a Masters degree in Architectural Studies. He also has an HNC in Building Services and is a CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant. He is a fully qualified Level 4 Non Domestic Energy Assessor and is accredited to produce Display Energy Certificates.
Amir has been involved in the sustainable building industry for over 18 years. He is a key part of our commercial team and his clients benefit from his extensive and in-depth knowledge of a wide range of sustainable building issues, renewable technologies and daylighting/sunlight assessments.
In his spare time he likes playing football (although mainly now with his 2 year old son) and is working on progressing to his blue belt in Karate.
Andrew is a fully qualified On-Construction Domestic Energy Assessor and provides our clients with practical and effective solutions to ensure their developments get through the new building regulations. He also carries out renewable energy evaluations, thermal bridging calculations and water efficiency advice and solutions.
Andrew has a relevant degree and a Level 3 diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment. He is also qualified in Asbestos sampling. With over 4 years experience in the energy assessment industry, Andrew's clients are in safe hands.
In his spare time he plays a mean game of pool, competing for his local pub team (which really is just a good excuse).
Mark is an integral part of our Residential Energy Assessment & Air Leakage Testing team. He is a fully accredited SAP Assessor and is also registered with the British Institute of Non Destructive Testing. He is also studying part-time for a Masters degree in Renewable Energy. His clients benefit from his wealth of experience in energy assessment and if Mark can’t get to the bottom of a difficult compliance problem, no-one can.
In his spare time he can be found supporting up & coming bands that no-one else has heard of. Since the arrival of his young son and daughter he has had to rely on BBC Radio 6 to fulfill his taste in music, much to the annoyance of his colleagues.

Becky has a degree in Estate Management and keeps the office running smoothly.
She is primarily responsible for marketing & accounts and ensures the team is kept on the straight and narrow.
